1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Usage analytics (with your consent): the page you visited with its title and language, the site you arrived from, your device type, an approximate country inferred from your network connection, a random visitor identifier stored in your browser, click positions on the page, how far you read an article, and time spent on it.

Data you provide: your email when subscribing to the newsletter; your name, email and message when contacting us; your details and the referred company's details when using the referral form.

What we don't collect: we do not store your IP address in its original form — it is irreversibly hashed before storage, solely for abuse protection. We do not capture what you type into form fields before submission. We do not sell your data.

3. Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

We use the Google Ads tag to measure the effectiveness of our advertising — that is, to know which ad led to an actual service request. This means:

• Advertising cookies are enabled only on full consent, at which point measurement data is transmitted to Google.
• Under partial consent or rejection, no advertising cookies are stored and no data is sent to Google. We use Consent Mode, which prevents storage before your choice.
• We record a single conversion event: a completed service request — not page browsing.
• Google processes this data outside the Kingdom as a processor acting on our behalf. We do not provide it with form data or the content of your messages.

4. Lawful basis and purpose

Usage analytics are collected with your consent, given through the consent banner, for the purpose of understanding which content is useful and improving the site. Data you submit through forms is processed to deliver what you asked for: sending the newsletter, responding to your enquiry, or assessing your referral.

5. Your choice

On your first visit we offer three options:

• Accept all — visits, reading depth, and click positions with a persistent visitor identifier, plus advertising cookies for Google Ads measurement.
• Partial — visits and reading depth only, without click tracking or advertising cookies.
• Reject — no persistent identifier, no behavioural measurement, no advertising cookies.

Where you reject, we retain an anonymous aggregate visit count (page, time, device type, approximate country) with no identifier that distinguishes you and no linking of your visits to one another. This count is not used for any marketing purpose, is not shared with any party, and we rely on it to operate the site and size its usage.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.

Newsletter subscription requires double opt-in: your email is not registered until you click the confirmation link sent to you. You may unsubscribe at any time.

6. Where data is stored and who accesses it

Data is stored in a database under our control and accessed only by authorised Atheer staff for operational purposes. We use service providers for hosting and email delivery, who process data on our behalf and under our instructions.

7. Retention

Analytics data: up to twelve months, then deleted. Form data: for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for and as required by law. Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you have the right to be informed how your data is processed, to access it, to request its correction, and to request its destruction when it is no longer needed. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@atheer.sa.

9. Updates

We may update this policy when what we collect or how we process it changes. The last update date appears below.
